A candle handmade in the traditional way, like the ones from Jerusalem, originally crafted from 33 candles, symbolizing the years of Christ’s life.
Ours is made in the same way, but with 7 candles.
Because Easter lasted seven days. Because Christ performed seven miracles. Because there are seven sacraments, seven cardinal virtues, and seven deadly sins.
And because the dove flew for seven days and seven nights before returning to the ark, bringing peace after the flood.
