A wooden box, handmade replica of a traditional wedding box from Thrace, hand-painted.
On the wedding day, the women leading the bridal procession
dance while holding a box containing seeds and nuts
(almonds, walnuts, and cotton seeds). The traditional wedding of Thrace
is a complete ritual that, to this day, preserves ancient symbols at its core.
