Handwoven handbag made from corn leaves. In the framework of Sustainable Development in Thrace, we have woven corn leaves on traditional looms to create bags that align with modern aesthetics and the principles of the circular economy, contributing to a more sustainable society.<\/p>\n

With these handcrafted bags, we enhance recycling practices, support circular economy initiatives, and most importantly, provide employment opportunities for local artisans. The bag has an interior lining made from Greek cotton fabric and carries the story of agricultural production in Thrace, as well as that of Benthicha and Katerina, who weave, and Meriem, who sews the bag. Hand-embroidered, an eye, symbol of the self and the soul, adorns the design. An apotropaic symbol from prehistoric times to the present, it reflects humanity\u2019s timeless need to ward off fear and evil while attracting good fortune.<\/p>\n
